Jaguar S-Type

Who holds more style than perfection is come to the right address for Jaguar. The charm of the highest price class as middle class – in this case a person usually succumb. Are expectations were too high?

Customers were disappointed after entering into possession of the Ford Jaguar. The first newly developed Jaguar S-Type is full of cheap plastic and duct grilles in old Ford Mondeo.

The origin of the 2.5-liter engine is also otam. Variations of the big V8 put more hope of riding pleasure. Version with three-liter engine in turn interferes with feverish shifting automatic transmission as late as 2000 Automatic program was modified.

Typically Jaguar: premium suspension and the road bed stable and enough space dispersed in terms of visibility, shaped body, but also typical British club atmosphere. Unfortunately there is more to be desired S-Type, mainly due to the materials and quality of workmanship.

The question whether a solid and spacious second hand offered at similar prices like Jaguar XJ, is not better choice.

Most common faults in Jaguar S-type

Motor: damage in 3.0 liter (99 to 00 GG), noise (00 to 02 GG) blasted the head gaskets in 4.0 liter
Defective automatic (GG 99-00), broken wishbone front axle (up to May 2000, in the callback service!)
Electronics: Interference management engine and immobilizer, wet plugs, faulty generators (’00)

Pros: + solid salon, nice atmosphere, good handling, comfortable seats, high level of equipment

Cons: – relative build quality, high costs, V6-engine combined with automatic inharmonious
