Opel Corsa Review

New Opel Corsa comes in 2014

Opel Corsa

The New Opel Corsa will come on 2014

As reported by German magazine Auto Motor und Sport, the next generation Opel Corsa will start producing in April 2014.

The fourth generation was released in 2006 and since then has undergone some changes, but now the market loses battle with VW Polo and Ford Fiesta.

Just last year sold 426,000 copies of the Volkswagen Polo and Ford Fiesta 375000 and for Opel Corsa is 330,000 pieces. Given the new models in this segment, Peugeot 208 and Renault Clio IV, which is expected in autumn’s Paris Motor Show, it’s time for a brand new Corsa.

The plan of the new Opel Corsa has again increased sales of more than 400,000 copies, and this goal will be achieved by the next generation, which will be characterized by an attractive design and new engines (among them will have 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbo petrol).
Also new Corsa will be built on the platform Gamma II, which is used in the Chevrolet Aveo and the new Opel Mokka, and there will be 50 kg less weight than current models.

The dimensions should remain almost the same as the current Corsa.

Opel Corsa – it’s good to be bold!

Rüsselsheim. Model Corsa OPC is now even more powerful. Limited Edition OPC ‘Nürburgring Edition’ building on the recently revised Corsa model line and is scheduled to be available in 500 individuals with an extremely rare combination of unbridled power, dynamism and passion for sports.

The increase in power was achieved through modernization of e-government processes in the engine system and turbocharged, sports exhaust system with reduced rolling resistance charter outgoing exhaust flow and optimizes the use of fuel with 100 octane.

As a result, the maximum output of the 1.6-liter OPC turbo engine is raised from 141 hp kVt/192 kVt/210 to 154 hp, achieving a value of 131.4 hp liter capacity per liter of displacement, which is a remarkable achievement for this engine class. The maximum torque of the base engine (230-266 Nm) is also increased to 250 Nm, respectively. 280 Nm with this function “overboost” turbocharger.

In order to ensure the conversion of this power into efficient forward motion, engineers have equipped the front drive axle with mechanical multi-disc locking differential. Same model helps to reduce the maximum loss of adhesion between the surface and the wheels even in the presence of strong lateral load in corners and in acceleration such as in a change of the surface structure of the surface. Differential is ideal for race track sessions.

The chassis of the Corsa top model has also in with modified settings. The measures taken in this direction include further reduction in ride height, the use of newly developed spring and shock absorbers Bilstein and – as a further high-tech detail – a new lightweight front braking system, developed by specialists Brembo, and special high-performance model brake pads.

Outstanding dynamic performance – superb fun on the road

Standard dynamic performance can only create some idea of the sensation of driving a Corsa OPC ‘Nürburgring Edition’. It accelerates from standstill to 100 km / h only 6.8 seconds, the elasticity in the individual gears is remarkable because of the abundance of torque. Small sporty hatchback out acceleration from 80 to 120 km / h in fifth gear just 6.2 seconds and a top speed of 230 km / h model is a leader in power and performance in its class.

As the name suggests the model, Corsa OPC ‘Nürburgring Edition’ once again highlights the long history of the relationship between Opel and the famous race track in the Eifel mountains.

The essence of the essence of the Corsa OPC ‘Nürburgring Edition’ is collected in the best way in terms of the Opel brand ambassador and instructor racing management OPC Joachim “Joke” Winkelhock. “You drive and drive and drive – you just do not want to stop,” he said in his familiar casual style and a playful smile.

Gasoline engine fixed. As my colleague said X14XE perfect bike for this compartment. You do not recommend diesel at all. In my second hand diesel is pretty dangerous to buy just for new pumps that as something breaks the repair starts from 500 eur. up.

On the other hand 1.5 diesel Opel Corsa is sick economy, talked to me about the urban fuel 5/100 :). But are rare. For petrol 1.4 16V Corsa is great for more than ideal, plenty of power, it is not difficult, therefore, will not burn much. Goes over well and the air conditioner will not kill many. 1.6 are now sport performances but there is a lot if you want to keep the car.

So to say And my opinion, 3 months ago I got a Corsa C14SE, And my humble opinion is that if you look Corsa diesel. My Colizzi already made it perfect, but it felt conditioning a lot, but with the air and fuel is properly good. My personal opinion is that diesel truth. Two weeks ago I watched Corsa 1.5TDI engine and it was just perfect, accelerates more than gasoline, fuel is coming and run the air conditioner while no difference was palpable!

Recommended exactly 3-cylinder engine and 1.0 12V. Even is a chain, not a belt. Diesel Izuzu a slow, old as a model and has a great expense. Recommended Corsa B models after 1997. The main problem is rust. But an additional preservation and processing will be unnecessary if driving a long time.

Colleague support fixed 1.2 and 1.4 are good motors. I drive a 1.2, and I still see little moments (65 hp), but what about 1.0 – only for city driving, the extra will probably more than larger engines. In Book 1.0 (X10XE) urban consumption – 7.5 – 7.8 (depends on what is already a car tire is how doors is a busy, etc.). Urban – 4.7 – 4.9 (1.2 for the same values are respectively 8.5 and 5.3) At high engine loads, however, the smaller engine would naturally give greater expense.

Certainly from my own experience I would say that the 1.2 and 1.4 liter engines are much better options. I personally drive a Corsa B 1.4 60 horse engine and go decently considering its few horses. View father took Corsa C only newer, but 1.0 engine. And what to say of course that there is a difference between the 3’s and 4-cylinder in favor of a larger engine.

I see that nobody here has mentioned something very important. Three-cylinder engine design has more than four-vibration – which I think is not a good reflection of all sensors which is packed, and the computer that is attached to the block. The fact is that, in three-cylinder engine compa fail more often than the four-cylinder. I think a better option is X12XE – four-cylinder is again a chain and cost in comparison with X10XE is slightly larger … Otherwise some people – some preferences …

Hello colleague. I drive a Corsa with this bike for 3 years and a half. I have mixed opinions – we can say that the engine is economical, very weak, but a decent run in the city. The engine is a chain, I have not touched anything on it, but keep in mind that it is a 3-cylinder car and a lot more vibration than normal engines. As fuel burns me out of town about 5 urban and 7.5, but the cost was half a liter lower than before the change lambda. Engine problems are standard – flow meter, lambda probe, sensor crankshaft. As prices are not cheap at all (original flow meter – 230 eur?!; Lambda Bosch Universal – 80 eur; crankshaft sensor – Italian fake – 30 eur.) Out of town driving a car is a challenge – to anticipate carnet must watch very far ahead, but in the city of first and second gear is pretty good. The advantage is that save money on utility bills – one candle less and less oil (about 3.5 liters).

Generally, it is a surefire engine very economical when confronted and I would not say it’s as bad as dynamic. Indeed, because of the three-cylinder sounds a little funny and a little more vibration at idle, but tolerated. Problems that are common in this engine have EGR valve, flowmeter The motor idling and timing chain. If it is removed to time is a great economical city car. And that ESOTES bikes are not good is your standard story of the “masters” who does not deserve special attention.
